No, I'm not presently running for office - this is an archive - held in abeyance for moments like this.

Also, I am not clear on one point in my presentation (linked above; I hope to update that soon) -- there are actually 4 or 5 good ideas for the 2nd Amendment:

#1 -- Ensure LAW-ABIDING citizens full access to firearms & other means of protection (which I do address in my link above)

#2 -- RESTRICT access to these for criminals & the mentally ill (which I fail to mention in my page; hope 2 fix that soon)

#3 -- Guns that are fully automatics and/or that have HUGE & FAST clips (say, 1,000 rounds/minute) are de facto WMD and should be restricted (but do NOT restrict guns that merely "look like" assault weapons, OK?)

#4 -- Mental Health evaluations might help (if, that is, you can trust the govt to address this issue)

#5 -- we need MORE love, trust, faith, respect - and LESS hate, doubt, fear, ignorance -- Even with #1-#4 above, that's not enough: We need #5 -- doubt me? Ask God.
